Galveston’s Cruise Line Terminal is 45 miles south of Houston, Texas. When the cruise ships are loading and disembarking, several thousand people pack the streets around the Galveston docks.

The Port of Houston is even closer. It has the same traffic and parking problems as cruise ships leaving from Galveston, TX.

Beach Houses – Surfside Beach is 58 miles south of Houston. It has no traffic problems.

Front row beach houses at Surfside are very reasonable priced. Especially during the off-seasons, or if more than two people are going. Many beach activities are free.
